One of my personal favorite singer/songwriters Iman Europe returns with the brand new single “the devil be tryin'”. Produced by Tesk, the production alone is enough to make the rewind factor on this one high, however it’s Europe’s lyrics and vocals that carry the vibe of the song to flawlessness. Listen to “the devil be tryin'” below and share your comments and/or ratings.
Mac Miller and the constantly impressive Anderson .Paak connect for the new single “Dang!”. Produced by Pomo, this song is set to appear on Miller’s upcoming project The Divine Feminine. Pomo’s production on this one has such a groove to it that I’m convinced that if you don’t bounce to this you have no soul. Listen below and share your comments and/or ratings. Consequence connects with Ty Dolla Sign and G-Unit’s Tony Yayo for the brand new single “Ask Somebody”. Cons self produced the track, which borrows the “Seven Minutes of Funk” sample previously used by EPMD, Jay-Z and Tha Alkaholiks. “Ask Somebody” follows the release of his project A Good Comeback Story, and he is gearing up for Growing Up In New York, his second EP of the year. Along with Yayo and Ty Growing Up is slated to feature XXL Freshman nominee, his son, Caiden, Royce Da 5’9” and more. Look for Growing Up In New York coming your way on Aug. 19th. It’s very fitting for Jean Grae to be the musical backbone to the new Black Panther: A Nation Under Our Feet comic with her new single “What You Came For”. Produced by Quelle Chris, the always incredible Cape Town born emcee perfectly vocalizes the tale of revolution that is the driving force in the new Black Panther comic. Make sure you definitely pick it up as writer Ta-Nehisi Coates again shows his penchant for greatness with his work on Black Panther. Listen to the single and purchase it below. You can also view a brief video synopsis given by Coates below as well.
