Johnny Popcorn – Go Go Go
Philly Funk rockers Johnny Popcorn release “Go Go Go”, the official lead single from their upcoming album Totem Pole. The infectious energy of this song as well as the message behind it makes it easily one of the album’s standouts. Watch for the video coming soon as well. I was fortunate enough to catch an early preview of it and I will say it is daaammnnn good. Stream and download below. Totem Pole coming soon! Also if you’re in the Philly area look for Johnny Popcorn opening for the legend George Clinton on 8/17 at the Ardmore Music Hall. Purchase your tickets here!
Joe Budden – Just Because
In response to Drake’s comments about Joe Budden at his Summer Sixteen Tour, Budden does what he does best and responds with the new track “Just Because”. While I feel that this one isn’t as scathing as “Making A Murderer Pt. 1” or “Wake” have been, Joe still establishes the fact that he’s not going to stop until he makes Drake respond in with some actual bars. I ain’t mad at it at all. Stream and download “Just Because” below.
Xiomara – YDKJ Pt. II (Prod. by Amerigo Gazaway)
Fresh of the release of her debut album Seven Nineteen, Xiomara links with producer Amerigo Gazaway for the release of “YDKJ Pt. II”. Gazaway provides his signature feel to the track with the assistance of some talented musicians from Xiomara’s hometown. While this version of “You Don’t Know Jack” is not on featured on the album, it is available as either a free download or you can show your support by naming your price for it. Listen below and do just that afterwards.
Joe Budden – Afraid
Joe Budden returns back to attack mode with the release of the new Drake diss track “Afraid”. This is in response to Drake not changing his verse in his latest featured song “No Shopping” by French Montana. In listening to this and the other songs by Budden in response to Drake all I can say is this definitely going to be something as simple as doing “Back To Back”. Stream/downlown “Afraid” below and share your comments and/or ratings.
